Aston University Visit Supports Sixth Formers with Future Planning
Sixth form students had the opportunity to take part in an engaging and informative workshop led by an employee from Aston University. The visit was designed to help students explore future study options and gain a clearer understanding of what university life is really like.
The session covered a range of important topics, including how to choose the right course and university, helping students think carefully about their interests, strengths, and career ambitions. Students also learned about graduate employability and how higher education can support them in developing key skills valued by employers.
A dedicated discussion on student life gave sixth formers insight into the wider university experience, such as campus facilities, support services, and opportunities available outside of academic study. In addition, the speaker provided clear and reassuring guidance on student finance, explaining tuition fees, student loans, and how repayments work.
Overall, the visit was a motivating and confidence-building experience for sixth form students. It encouraged them to reflect on their next steps after sixth form and left them feeling better informed and more prepared to make decisions about their future.
