We have a pre-loved uniform service in school.   If you require support with uniform items for your child, please contact the school and/or your house team directly.   If you have items that you are willing to donate to this service to help others in the school community, please bring them to Main Reception.

Jewellery, Hairstyles, Make-Up and Accessories

To ensure a sense of pride at the Academy we have clear rules on jewellery, hair styles, makeup and accessories. The Academy will only allow:

• Small studded earrings.
• Small nose stud, no hooped nose rings.
• Pupils may wear discrete natural make up which is not noticeable.

Please note, the aforementioned jewellery can be worn as long as it is removed for all PE lessons.

• False eye lashes are not allowed to be worn in school. If pupils are seen to be wearing false eye lashes they will be asked to remove them in school.
• False nails and coloured nail polish are not allowed and, as such, will need to be removed.
• Lines cannot be cut into hair or eyebrows.
• Nails should look natural and be an appropriate length for school.
• Hair should be natural in colour and tied back for practical activities. Appropriate hair accessories should be worn. Metal headbands are not allowed for safety reasons.
• No fashion accessories should be worn.
• Pupils are only allowed to wear badges/items which have been given to them by the Academy. Pupils are not allowed to wear any additional badges/items. 

Equipment

In order for pupils to become independent learners, who take responsibility for their own development, we request that pupils use an appropriate school bag to ensure the following list of equipment is brought into school: 

• Pencil case
• Pens
• Pencils
• Ruler
• Eraser
• Glue stick
• Highlighters
• Books needed for that day’s lessons
• PE kit

Please note this is not an exhaustive list, specialist equipment may be required within particular subjects.  This will be communicated via class teachers accordingly. 

Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices

Mobile phones and electronic devices must not be seen or used anywhere in the Academy. Any seen by members of staff will be confiscated and handed to the child’s Head of House/Guidance Manager.
