Supporting Every Child to Start Secondary School with Confidence
At Washwood Heath Academy, we understand that the move from primary to secondary school is a big step. Our comprehensive transition programme is designed to ensure every child feels safe, welcome, and excited to join our community.
We are proud to be a UNICEF Rights Respecting School, and our transition work reflects our commitment to every child’s right to education, safety, and wellbeing (Articles 28, 29, and 12 of the UNCRC). As part of our commitment to the UNICEF Rights Respecting Award, we make sure that pupil wellbeing, voice and safety are central to our plans.
