Year 4 Trip to Calke Abbey

What an adventure we had at Calke Abbey! Our Year 4 explorers stepped back in time for a magical history hunt through this fascinating mansion 

First stop: the grand Entrance Hall! We discovered incredible treasures in the 'stately' rooms  From mysterious taxidermy creatures to endless shelves of ancient books in the Library, and magnificent paintings that seemed to watch us as we walked by.

The real excitement? Sneaking through the servants' quarters! We tip-toed into the abandoned School Room and Sir Vauncey's childhood bedroom, where time stood still and forgotten treasures tell silent stories 

Our little historians uncovered fascinating family tales as we wandered through rooms filled with collected treasures from years gone by. Each room held its own secrets and stories!

To top off our amazing day, we took a nature walk through the rolling hills and made some furry friends along the way! Stay tuned for pictures of our unforgettable adventure!
