Secondary Phase- Girls Football at The Alexander Stadium

On Tuesday 18th March, 10 members of the Girls Football Team attended an Initial Training Session at Alexander Stadium. This session was delivered by FA tutors and School Games organisers to equip the Girls Football Team with the knowledge, tools and confidence to deliver, take part in and officiate games. The theory part of the programme took place indoors in one the training suites and the practical sessions took place outside on grass in the middle of Alexander Stadium.

Over 100 girls from 10 schools in Birmingham attended overall. The Washwood Heath Girls Football Team were amazing in both the theory and practical aspects of the day showing amazing leadership and football skills and impeccable behaviour. This was also commented on by numerous staff who our Girls had to teach football drills to other Girls from other Birmingham Schools during the afternoon.

The Girls were also happy with their free t-shirts and hoodies, pens and notepads they all received too and enjoyed the experience of being at Alexander Stadium where they have all never been to before!!!
