Year 9- Trip to the Williams Racing Experience

Our Year 9 HAPs pupils recently had an exciting and inspiring trip to the Williams Racing Experience. The day was filled with hands-on activities and opportunities to think and act like real race car engineers.
Pupils worked in teams to design and create nose cones for Formula One cars, testing their designs for performance. They presented their ideas in groups, focusing on design features, budgeting for materials, and suggesting areas for improvement. The activity encouraged problem-solving, teamwork, and innovative thinking.
Adding to the excitement, pupils raced each other in F1 car simulators, experiencing the thrill of driving like professional race car drivers.
The trip continued with a tour of the Williams Racing Museum, where students explored the fascinating history of the company. They saw the evolution of the team’s fleet and learned how technology and design have progressed over time.
It was an unforgettable experience that brought STEM concepts to life while sparking curiosity and ambition. Well done to all the pupils for their enthusiasm and creativity throughout the day!
Special shout out to Mrs Y Ishfaq & Ms N Sadiq for her support throughout the day.
