Primary Phase- Reception class learning about Space

In reception we have been exploring Space as part of our book 'How to Catch a Star'. Last week, we had a go at designing our own rocket and decided on the colours, how many windows we will have and the shape of our nose cone. The children used their plans to create their own rockets using tissue rolls, tissue paper, foil, card and sequins. The children tried really hard to join the materials together and create their rocket. We then had a go at throwing our rockets super high to see if we could catch the star, but the children soon realised there are no stars during the day and that we may see them at night. Well done children!
