Y5 Girls BCFC Cup

Today, seven Year 5 girls from the Primary Phase participated in the BCFC cup. They had the wonderful opportunity to travel to the home of Birmingham City Football Club- St Andrew's @Knightshead Park to compete against 15 other schools. They were able to play on the same pitch that the men's first team had played on last Saturday and had a wonderful time. In the three group games they lost to Bordesley Green, drew against Wyndcliffe and beat Marlborough. The total of 4 points was enough to see them through to the quarter finals. They fought hard in that match however lost out to Grove Vale 2-0. All the girls did Washwood Heath proud and a big thankyou to the parents/carers who came to watch.
