Eid ul-Fitr

It is expected that Eid will fall on Sunday 30th March or Monday 31st March. We are anticipating that many pupils and families will be celebrating Eid on Monday 31st March 2025and will be out of school on this day. Absence on Monday 31st June will be authorised as religious observance.

As a large proportion of staff at the Academy will be celebrating Eid, we are closing the school to all pupils on Monday 31st March 2025. Children not celebrating EID will be able to access learning remotely via ‘Show My Homework’. Work will be placed on the virtual platform for this day and more information about remote learning will follow. Absence will be authorised for all children on this day.

If you have a childcare problem and you require a place or,you would prefer your child to be in school on Monday 31st March, then please book a place by emailing enquiry@washwood.academy by 8.00am on Monday31st March to book a place for your child in school on Monday 31st March 2025 and the normal school timings will apply.

We expect all children to be in school as normal on Tuesday 1st April 2025.
