Girl Power Club

Over the past twelve weeks, girls from across Years 3- 6 have been participating in a 'Girl Power' after school club. This is a programme for girls, created by girls. It was delivered by Central Education- with the aim of inspiring a life-long love of movement, whilst developing individuals’ personal, social, emotional and physical health, and an understanding around the importance of being active. This has involved girls in Year 5 and 6 acting as mentors for their young counterparts as all of the girls in the club took part in a variety of different physical activities.
All of the girls had a great time:
"Girl Power is amazing! It teaches you to do new things and learn new sports." - Rumaysa
"It's the best club ever!" - Serena
"I really enjoyed the Girl Power sessions- I got to play with children in different year groups and make new friends!" - Umulkhayr
