Secondary Phase SEND

Our year 9 and year 10 students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) had an exciting opportunity as part of WEX (Work Experience) to visit The Space* Studio (*Architecture & Interior Design). The morning consisted of a tour of the studio, a presentation from the team on their roles and hands-on activities allowing pupils to think like architects and interior designers. 

Students had the challenge of designing building structures using just an A4 piece of paper and scissors. Students also had the opportunity to create their own home layouts using a real map of a house that is currently being renovated. 

The aim of the session was to give students the opportunity to be able to visit a workspace and learn about the different roles and opportunities available. 

Students were engaged and enjoyed visiting the studio.
