Pupil Leadership Primary & Secondary Community Walk

On Friday, our Pupil Leaders across the primary & secondary phase from prepared for their local walk and to see what's around school what changes/improvements can we make?
The Pupil Leaders found many links to Article 24- Healthcare for children and young people should be as good as possible. Pupils looked for evidence found in the local Dental Practice, Food Banks, Shops and Surroundings.
We spotted an interesting police vehicle, inside was a speeding check officer. She told us how traffic is "heavy" in the area and this needed monitoring. This should help slow speed down.
Our leaders also spotted areas that needed developing - the litter in the area and damaged pavements, hear our thoughts:
"There are some great spots to take walks, ride a bike or take a pet for a walk. This is brilliant for our mental heath!"
And that was a wrap for our local community walk! We will meet again to discuss our findings and prepare our questions for our visit to the Council House, where the pupils will meet a local councillor to discuss our findings.
