Washwood V King Edwards Five Ways

The rain decided to turn up but both teams decided to play throughout the rain.

Washwood lost the toss and were put into bat. A good partnership between Mubarak and Muhammad set Washwood up well scoring 56 off 12 overs.

King Edwards then came into bat and started very strongly getting 27 off the first 4 overs making them strong favourites to win. But some great bowling performances from Man of the Match Mohammed (Seacole 2 ), Hassan (7 Plaza 1) and Mubarak (Far 2) brought the game back. It came down to the last over with King Edwards needing 9 runs off the last over.

With some great bowling and fielding Washwood restricted them to 6 runs only, meaning Washwood won by 3 runs!!!

Well Done to the Year 8 Cricket Team- We are very proud of all players.
