Year 6-7 Transition Information: 2020

Welcome to Washwood Heath Academy!!

We would normally have been inviting all of our new Year 7 students in to school in July, but this year is somewhat different.  Although we can’t meet all of you straightaway, we still want to share with you some key information, and give you a sense of what to expect when you come to join us in September.  There are also some activities below that we’d like you to complete ready for September and bring in to school, so that you can introduce yourselves to us when you arrive.

For now, we hope that you enjoy our virtual tour (below) and enjoyed a positive end to Year 6 at Primary School.

Information about school uniform:

Please read this statement from Mansuri:

Despite the significant challenges caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, Mansuri is continuing to work hard to ensure we can deliver a successful ‘back to school’ with as much normality as possible this summer.  We are aware that the coming weeks and months will, however, continue to be far from normal meaning that more measures will have to be implemented to ensure we can operate safely.  We have been working closely with our suppliers to prepare for re-opening our stores ready for the 15th June.

It is with these challenges in mind, and the need to prioritise the safety and well-being of parents, children and staff, that we are writing to you to ask for your support.

In order to maintain a steady flow of customers at both of our physical stores and online, we have implemented many changes to allow customers better flexibility when purchasing uniform. The main ways which customers can purchase uniform from us will be from the following:

  • In-Store

  • Click & Collect

  • Online

This will ensure we will have the capacity to provide the best possible service to our customers, while also considering the health and safety aspect surrounding the spread of COVID-19.

At this time, working together and trusting long-standing relationships is more important than ever before. Rest assured that the Schoolwear industry is doing all it can to ensure the ‘back to school’ period is delivered safely and effectively so that your school can return to some form of normality as soon as possible.

If you have any questions relating to any of the above or any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are sure you will agree it will be great to see all our school children looking smart in their uniforms on their first day back in September. Many thanks for your ongoing support.
