As a precautionary measure, due to a local outbreak of Norovirus, the Academy will be closed to students on Thursday 28th November to allow the site to be deep cleaned.
Students should attend school as normal between Monday 25th and Wednesday 27th November.
What is Norovirus?
Norovirus, also called the ‘winter vomiting bug’, is a stomach bug that causes vomiting and diarrhoea. It can be very unpleasant, but usually goes away in about 2 days.
If your child is feeling unwell with any of the above symptoms, you should keep them at home to prevent further spread of the virus amongst the school community.
If they become unwell, students should not return to school until they have been free of the symptoms for 48 hours.
